Performer Pro VX
WHY WE LOVE IT
* Becomes sooo soft and comfy
* Looks really smart with the half chaps in same colour
* Slim and elegant
* Easy to find online and often in good stock
WHAT WE WOULD FIX
* The price is a bit high, but they can sometimes be found on sale
* The heel might be a bit high for some people, but we feel feminine in them!
* Stronger laces would be nice, I had to buy new once after 8 months
WHEN WE USE IT
* When riding in the arena with half chaps
* In competitions
We use these only for riding in the arena. This is only because we love them so much and want to save them for as long as possible!
They can be used for absolutely anything!
These are not very warm boots, so maybe use something warmer in the winter months.
When warm in summer, we use the chaps in competitions and then remove the chaps after the ride. Gives a less sweaty day! 😉
I have had these boots for about a year and they still look great. Initially they where very stiff, and trying them I was sceptical. The hardware on the outside did rub on my ankle, but was convinced by the saleswoman that they would grow and adjust to my foot, and they sure have. Now they feel like very comfy trainers.
What I love about them is that they are secure round the ankle giving great support when riding and walking (even on very uneven ground like frozen pastures). The fact that they are laceup make them easy to adjust tight when riding to medium when walking for longer periods. Even my sprained ankle was happy in these.
I once waded in knee deep wet snow, and for some reason did not get wet. I did have the chaps on at the time. I almost always use them together with the chaps.

HOW WE CLEAN IT
We clean and treat these boots as we do with a saddle or bridle. Wash it with Sadle soap and use some form of balm after. If we are going to a competition we use a boot brush to whip up some serious shine!
As stated before, the boots are very stiff and uncomfortable the first days. And then after about a week of wear they will soften beautifully. They are slim across the foot, so if you have broader feet, this might not be the boot for you.
These come in two colours brown and black.
The sizes for women goes from
There are chaps in an amazing amount of sizes in the same colour that will make these look like a proper riding boot.
These boots you see below are 1 year old used weekly. Maybe 2 times a week. Sometimes more. I have not cleaned them up for the occasion, this is how they look when in regular use.
