WHY WE LOVE IT
* It gives spooky horses a bit more energy without getting hot headed
* It’s in pellet form
* The horses love it
WHAT WE WOULD FIX
A tiny bit more energy?
Maybe add some magnesium and other herbs helping against spooky/worried horses as this is the type of horses that often use it
WHEN WE USE IT
For spooky or young horses in training that need a little extra help
When picking up training after summer
We would not use it for overweight horses not in regular training, as it has molasses and over medium levels of starch.
This feed is perfect for horses getting back into training, and needs a little help getting fit. We have used it both when setting horses back into training, and also the younger once, that still is a bit spooky.
It gives a little push, but have not in any way changed the horse’s attitude in any way. Just gave us a bit more willingness for work.
It also has good amounts of Vitamin E and antioxidants, which is known to help horses in training with tired muscles/building muscles.
We have given it dry
We have given it wet together with beet pulp (Pavo Speedibeet)
When it comes to amounts to give, it depends what else you feed with and off course your horse and the training. We have given 0,5 kilos a day when in training. Given together with the same amount of beet pulp and some vitamins.
Please get advice from a professional if in doubt about the type of feed and amount for your horse!
This feed seems high quality for the price. It does as it says on the tin (bag). Medium price range.
